Artist’s mission statement
My work grows out of intuition and a strong sensitivity to elegant, refined form.
I am guided by dream images and a Freudian way of reading them,
drawing on inner visions and associations rather than calculation.
Color is a living force for me:
it animates my sculptures, transforms interiors and gardens, and brings intensity,
strength, and expressive energy to the spaces they inhabit.
Across all my projects I remain rooted in abstraction, movement, and a continuous exploration
of how form can awaken and activate the surrounding space.
I work across different media, from dynamic, contemplative color compositions in paper
and relief that create a subtle kinetic effect, to visually expansive sculptures in strong colors
made of steel and marble.
These sculptural forms are sometimes closely linked to architecture
and at other times contrasted with more organic, streamlined shapes.
Lately, I have been developing my painting ideas by working on spheres
rather than flat canvases, creating works that can be read all around in every direction.
